BBC kürt die schlechtesten Lyrics aller Zeiten
Des’ree vor Snap und Razorlight am Treppchen

Songtexte können teilweise wie Gedichte sein, unglaublich geniale Sätze, bei denen man sich fragt, wie der betreffende Texter bloß diese beeindruckenden Ideen hernimmt. Und dann gibt es da auch noch andere Lyrics, solche die dann eben eher, nunja, weniger gut sind. Diesen satztechnischen Fehlgriffen wird jetzt besondere Aufmerksamkeit zuteil. Der BBC-Radiosender 6 Music veranstaltete kürzlich eine Hörerbefragung zum Thema „Worst Lyrics Of All Time“ und das Interesse an der eigenen Stimmabgabe schien sehr groß gewesen zu sein, denn die Teilnehmerzahl war beträchtlich und die Gewinner stehen jetzt fest!
Auf Platz 1 findet sich Des’ree mit einer Zeile aus ihrem 90er Jahre-Hit „Life“. Gefolgt von Snap's "Rhythm Is A Dancer" auf Platz 2. Und selbst unsere Indie-Lieblinge von Razorlight, eigentlich eher für die besseren Texte bekannt, konnten die Bronze-Medaille ergattern.
